We're running RedHat 4.
I've hunted high and low for any examples of Label printers working on LInux, but can only find a few examples (Seikos). The label printers I'm after must work in a warehouse, printing around 200,000 labels a month.
The Tec SX printers don't appear to be compatible in any way. A LR command results in nothing, the print doesn't get any data.
The printers are connected to Netgear PS101 print servers, which I'm told are not LInux compatible. I did managed to connect an HP5 and an OKI 3410 (dot matrix) printer to them without any problems.
The hosting company want to try to use Samba now, to see if that will help.
On the two links provided earlier, unfortunately neither helped in the end. The Printer Database doesn't include any Label printers.
Anyone else have any ideas, as this is stopping a half million pound project at the moment, and we'd spent 8k on the printers before we found out there was an issue.
