Question on the DCOP interface to KDE Advanced Text Editor (Kate)
 

Hi all...

I'm using DCOP in an application that I'm working on. I would like to open a file, different from the current file, in kate. I realise I can open kate from the command line by specifying a particular file, but what I need to do is to open a different file from the one I ran kate with originally.

I've played around with KDCOP to see what methods are available in the interface, but I can't find one to do this. The closest I could find was void openURL(QString).

Hope someone out there can help!
