Question on entering windows recovery console

I just removed linux and want the default windows bootloader back. My question is, how do I enter the windows recovery console? I booted from my cd, however, whenever I press R or F10 at the screen, nothing happens. Is there a way to use the recovery console in windows? And how so?

Are you sure "nothing" happens?
It should load up some files, then it might pause for a while (depends on entirely how much RAM you have) then it'll load the recovery console.
If it doesn't load any files (you can check for progress in the bottom right hand corner of the screen) or it hangs/crashes then this is a 'very bad thing'.
You might (read almost 99% certain) have to wipe your drive and re-install Windows.

Why did you wipe Linux?

Well I just installed the bootloader, my question is, how do I know the administration password?

Not sure I understand.
If it's your computer, it'll be whatever password you gave it when you installed.
Theoretically you shouldn't be able to do anything in RC without giving it the password first...

hmm..

When I installed, it did not ask me to give a password, and my account is the admin account for windows, however, it is not password enabled. I set it to password enabled and created one, but was still unable to login to recovery console.

You'll probably have better luck getting an answer from a Windows forum. Many here stay as far away from Microsoft software as possible .

Have you tried just pressing 'Return' at the password prompt ?

Once into RC use 'bootcfg /rebuild' giving a label ie Windows XP & passing the parameter fastdetect
That will rebuild your XP bootloader
