Which directory is grub located in on hda11? It should be in the directory called /boot.

The only advice I can give is to use these commands from Suse terminal and hit the enter key after each line.
mkdir /mnt/hda11 (enter)
mount /dev/hdall /mnt/hda11 (enter)
mkdir /mnt/hda11/boot/ (enter)
mkdir /mnt/hda11/boot/grub (enter)
cp /usr/lib/grub/* /mnt/hda11/boot/grub (enter)
grub (enter)
root (hd0,10) (enter)
setup (hd0,10) (enter)
quit (enter)
The only reason I am using Suse is I know the directory grub is in. This will install stage1

a problem with BIOS
Wellllll....
I did the above, things looked promising and the I got
Error 18: Selected cylinder exceeds maximum supported by BIOS
The BIOS is old because the machine is old, it's a DELL A06 BIOS.
My Fedora install is version 6 and I plan to do a new install of Fedora 12. Through Fedora I may be able to do a firmware upgrade. At this point could firmware be my problem?
Thanks again Larry for sticking with me...
Thoughts on "Error 18" at this time?
