question about xandros v2

hi i am new here and fairly new too linux....i have a question....me and my friends want too buy mandrake v2 and split the cost among us...they all have windows and i have a mac..is it possible to run xandros on this os? or no? thank you

I assume you meant Xandros in the post as well as
in the title ... Xandros is a linux-distro ... it doesn't
run "on an OS" it *IS* an OS. And to the best of my
knowledge there's no Xandros for Macs out there.

I also don't believe that "sharing a license" is quite
legal in regards to Xandros' licenses agreement.

Cheers,
Tink

yes im sorry i did mean xandros....thank you for your help...someone told me that it is not compatable with a mac computer because its made for windows n not macs....thats why i came here...

My bad ... I had a fluke in my first post, there
is no xandros for the mac. And it's not "made
for Windows", it's made for IBM compatible PCs.

SuSE and YellowDog have Linux for the Mac
(for example, there may be others).

Tink

Mandrake also has linux for a PPC (a Mac). If you see PPC, that stands for PowerPC which is a MAC (some people don't know this so don't take offence if you do). I have heard Yellow Dog is the best for a PPC. Also, just to let you know, Xandros has a free downloadable version through bittorrent for you to test Xandros, but it is very incomplete and it is recommended if you like it to buy a full version.
