Absolutely no need to apologise. We're all in different time zones with a wide variety of availability.

Right, I think we're going to install gedit. It's easier to use for newbies (and me!) than nano.

So:

Code:
sudo apt-get install gedit

Ok. Let's create and populate that software sources list file:

Code:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/wine.list
adding the line:

Code:
deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/debian/ jessie main
Then save and quit gedit.

No, not quite yet. Housekeeping time. Let's check that you don't still have that nano save file:

Code:
ls -la /etc/apt/sources.list.d

You're getting some truncation on that output (2 files with the same name?).

Yes. It would be useful though for you to find out why you got truncation on that output as it may hamper your ability to get good support in the future. Have you tried expanding your terminal window? Once you've got it sorted out, repaste the output here and we'll carry on.
