question about sound in Fedora 8

Hi all, I duel booted my toshiba xp laptop with Fedora 8. I'm quite impressed with it. My problem is there isn't any sound. The install detected the soundcard, and the system-config-soundcard shows the correct card. Is there a way to get it to work?

The model is 82801G (ICH7 family) high definition controller
and PCM Device is CONEXANT analog

Thanks...

Open the mixer/volume control and make sure it isn't muted.
