Question about fonts...

Hi I'm new to linux and I have a quick question about fonts. I've installed artwiz (w/c seems to be popular) and got it correctly cause it was listed when doing xlsfont. Although I'm not quite sure where to use this Is this a good font in the terminal only? And how to set it? Tnx!

You need to give us some information.
1. What distro are you using?
2. What desktop are you using? (gnome? kde? something else?)
I use monospace 10pt on my terminal and it look good to me.
cheers,
jdk

/usr/share/fonts is a commonly used location for fonts on UNIXes. You can simply copy (as root) your font into it, either in one of the existing directories, or in a directory created by yourself. There are GUI tools to do this for you, but in the end they do the same.

I'm not sure what you're asking. I had never heard of them before and as I said, I'm using monospace. What differences does it make what other people use? If you like the fonts use them; if you don't like them, don't use them. Is there anything else involved here?
cheers,
jdk
