Question about dual boot
I don't have this situation, but I am wondering about it. If I had a 60GB hard drive, with Windows XP installed on it (using 20GB), and I wanted to dual boot with Linux, and make Windows have 30GB and Linux have 30GB, would my current version of Windows be erased, and I would have to install it again along with Linux?

not just resize your windows partition with partition magic or some other software and then install linux on the remaining 30GIG.

Do you know of any software that is free?

I think the linux installation CD's can do this for you, but not sure. Mandrake can anyway.

Ok, thanks for your help
