question about connecting remotely

i finally finished installing ubuntu on my laptop and love it!iam trying too learn how too transfer files(over wifi) from my desktop computer(windows vista) that is downstairs to my ubuntu laptop which is upstairs.both pcs are connected too my home wifi there any tutorials for learning how too do that?
