Quake 3 Demo won't install
 

Hi, I've downloaded the quake 3 demo from the id software site : ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/qua...11-6.x86.gz.sh

From Konsole (running as root) I type ./linuxq3ademo-1.11-6.x86.gz.sh

I get the error
kbuildsycoca running...
Reusing existing ksycoca

Also another Konsole windows flashes up for a second with 'Verifying Archive Integrity' and closes itself again.

Any idea what the problem is?

from what you gave us to go on I don't know what it is, but maybe look at the quake 3 demo linux installer help page. they would know best why it'd just crash like that.
