Question quad booting dos 6.22/win98se/winxppro/mandrake10.1


hello all

I need help, I am trying to set up a quad boot..........but i cant do it......i have seen it done but, everything i have tried caused the command.com file to be missing or corrupt on the win98se, and on the xp it gets to atchkdsk it says its missing then it reboots, but the dos 6.22 works fine.

if someone can give me step by step direction it would be a big help.

i have
2 ide 60gig hdds
512 ram
amd 3000

dos 6.22
windows 98se
windows xp pro
linux mandrake 10.1
lilo boot

please help

The question is: why would you need to?

There are projects like DOSemu and DOSbox which make DOS redundant these days:

Both of these run under Linux.

If you just want to run your old games, DOSbox works as well as anything I've tried - including DOS itself.

Microsoft OSs need to be installed on primary partitions. DOS absolutely MUST be on the first partition of the disk. Windows 95/98 isn't as fussy, but it's partition must be marked bootable. Same with XP. Linux can go anywhere, so you should worry about getting all the Microsoft stuff working the way you want first.

With DOSbox available, and the fact that XP can run 95/98 programs, there is no point doing what you're trying to do IMO.
