python3.6 installation error in linuxmint14.04

my system has python 3.2.3 while upgrading, it is failing like-->
W: Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/di...ty/Release.gpg Could not resolve 'security.ubuntu.com'

W: Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/...al/Release.gpg Could not resolve 'archive.canonical.com'

W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I tried with commands:
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list ~/
sudo apt-get update
again same error getting.
Can anyone please give a suggestion?

this is a warning, not an error.
The first one does not exist, the second one works now.
probably your sources.list is corrupted, but cannot be sure if you won't show us.

There is no such thing as Linux Mint 14.04.

If you have inxi installed, could you please paste the output from the following command:
