Python for Racy 5.3???


I was just wondering if there is a version of Python that works for Puppy Linux Racy 5.3???

Python works on all versions of linux and for several it forms an integral part of the system. I would check for it in the distrubution packages or if its not there you can compile it from source

Ok I will try that. I was looking in the packages but didnt see it there. I will look again. Also if I have to compile it from source how would I go about doing it. And is there a good compiler for python. Again I am using Puppy Linux Racy 5.3 Thanks in advance for any advice.

Also

Is there any good tools for beginning programming in Python. I am new to the language and I havent programmed in Visual Basic for about 5 years now. Please help thank you.

You should out check out the website http://www.python.org. you can download the source from there if needed. As for a tutorial. I would check out the documentation for a start. The documentation is really good with all the builtin modules documentated and with examples on how to use them. Other than that just get stuck in and experminet using the interactive interpeter
