pykaraoke installation help
 

Having installed YDL on the PS3, I am trying to get a karaoke program for linux.
I have found the above but being a real newbie to linux I am finding it rather confusing as to how you install.

Please can somebody help me :scratch:

OK..i dont have YDL but I'll have a go :)

Get the source package from here:
http://www.kibosh.org/pykaraoke/installation.php (pykaraoke-0.5.zip)?

If you unzip this file theere is a REAME.txt file with Installation instructions

For pykaraoke it says you need

Python
Pygame
WxPython
SDL

A quick look here and it seems you will need to find PyGame and WxPython as these are not included with YDL.

I've never used a RPM based distro, but you can find PyGame and WxPython here http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/

Once you have all of these installed you can install pykaraoke with

Finding it pretty daunting at the mo, (windows and macOSX, not a problem).

What books would you advise for a newbie learning linux.
