Putty with forward configuration
 

Hi,

I have a PC with putty installed. The PC can ssh using putty to Linux server1 but not server2 and; server1 can ssh to server2.

Is it possible to ssh from the PC to server2 by configuring the tunnel setting in putty?

I have tried key-in in putty's tunnel setting with source port of any number (eg:8888) and server1's IP address in Destination but to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any pointer.

I do not use that feature of putty, but I DO configure putty to connect to a server and run the command to ssh to another beyond it. With keys enabled, it connects so quickly, your session on server2 comes up so fast, that it is not clear that you 'stepped forward' to get the session.

I suggest you to set up tunneling from server1 to server2 and you can use putty to connect server1:8888 and will reach server2
