Pureftp - cannot see files?

Ok i've installed pureftp with --with-puredb

i wanted an account just so i could ftp to my 2nd hard disk...

I've created the user with

pure-pw useradd storage -u ftpuser -d /mnt/fat-d/
pure-pw mkdb -m

then i've started pureftpd with

/usr/local/sbin/pure-ftpd -B -l puredb:/etc/pureftpd.pdb

when i ftp to this computer however, i cannot see any files that are in /mnt/fat-d/

and cannot make any new files... so i don't have rw access to the mount... but i don't know to fix this?

thanks in advance :-)

You have to edit your file and dir permissions, and it's a menace. I had to tinker around for over an hour, and it's still not the way I want it beacuse the drive I access through ftp is a windows drive and windows filesystem doesn't have the same kind of permissions.
