Pure-FTPD: Subsys locked - Cpanel/WHM

I was using ProFTPD the other day, but I seen Pure-FTPD had a lot more options, so I switched to it. All is going good, using Cpanel/WHM to do it all. It says pure-ftpd is now running but subsys is locked. Its basically still running proftpd but not working. Any idea how I can fix this and use pure-ftpd? Using Redhat 9.0.

Thanks

Nevermind, I fixed the lock problem. Now when I turn on pure-ftpd, the logins dont work. Any idea how to make the proftpd logins work on pure-ftpd? I tried 'useradd' and 'passwd'. It didnt seem to take effect.

Thanks
