Its odd, though, From there, it just stops booting and "goes into terminal mode" where I can use terminal commands....
Any Ideas?

Your saying it doesn't go into your 'X' environment?
I would make sure my copy of the 'ISO' is valid so your install is not corrupt. Check the 'md5sum' for the downloaded 'ISO'. Then be sure to check the burnt image for a valid burn by '
'CdromMd5sumsAfterBurning''. Sometimes if you slow your burn down then things will be joy.
If your at the cli then just try 'startx' and see what happens.
Since this is repeatable I would look at my image copy and the burn.
It could also be a memory problem but my bet is on the media.
Just shooting in the dark since you really didn't provide enough information. You could look at your logs in '/var/log' to see if you have any errors that would be clues.
