Yes, there is a distribution called Puppy linux. I'm not sure what you mean with 'all glass look'. Maybe you could explain a bit more?
|
what i mean with all glass is this for windows 7 and 8 there are additional third party programs that gives you a glass look
i have a screenshot to let you see what i mean this is a link to that picture and i wonder if there is a linux distro that can give that look of full glass http://background-pictures.feedio.ne...inttuloru.png/ |
Looks like you just want transparency.
It is possible to get transparency going with puppy, eg- http://www.diddywahdiddy.net/sm2-puppy.jpg Or other linux distros with openbox (the desktop enviroment currently used by puppy)- http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/5...61280x800s.png IMO puppy is too much of a pain, and I'd prefer other distros (like cruchbang or antix) for use on an older, slower CPU/small RAM system. They run better than puppy IMO, and are easier to find documentation or other info if you want to make changes. If its not that old a computer, maybe KDE 4.X would be a better choice. Its got more 'eye candy' out of the box than the simpler lighter desktop enviroments. |
yes in deed i want the transparency look and it must be fast to on my computer
Motherboard: DFI AD77 (socket 462) Processor: Amd Athlon(tm)XP 2200 klock 1.79Mghz Ram: 2 gyg DDR 1 333Mghz Hard disk: boot dysk 37 gyg. seondairy disk 320 gyg and 160 gyg 1 vidoe card ATI RADEON 9600 WITH WDDM 128mb ZO WHAT IS THE BEST LINUX DISTRO WITH TRANSPARENCY ?? |
Please don't shout. Transparency is not a feature of Linux distros, but of the desktop environment you choose to use. Since you have old hardware I would go for a lightweight distribution, if it has to be a Puppy derivative try MacPup, but I would rather recommend to use Bodhi (which is based on Ubuntu). Both feature the lightweight Enlightemnent environment, which is fast and supports transparency.
