proxypass and proxypassreverse config in apache

Hello
I have 2 urls configured on an RHEL 6 apache server.

1) http://URL1
2) http://URL2
Both of these work fine from internet explorer.

Requirement:

http://URL1/mobiel/simonly should point to http://URL2/shop/mobiel/simonly

Config changes for these that i made on URL1.conf:

ProxyRequests Off
ProxyPreserveHost On

ProxyPass /mobiel/simonly/ http://URL2/shop/mobiel/simonly/

ProxyPassReverse /mobiel/simonly/ http://URL2/shop/mobiel/simonly/

--------------------------------

But when I try to run http://URL1/mobiel/simonly than i get error 404.

Note: If I run the destination URl "http://URL2/shop/mobiel/simonly" than I am able to view the page.
But when I run the relative URL "http://URL1/mobiel/simonly" I get error 404.

Please guide on this.
My assumption is this that since my relative URL is incorrect and I am unable to open it than my Destination URL wont open.
Not sure about this.
Please help..

Thanks,
Indrajeet

Since both URLs are set on the same apache as 2 vhosts, you don't need a reverse proxy. Just configure an Alias in the 1st vhost:
Code:
Alias /mobiel/simonly /path/to/2nd-vhost-docroot/mobiel/simonly
<Directory /path/to2nd-vhost-docroot/mobiel/simonly>
Allow from all
</Directory>
