proxy not responding

My proxy was working this morning and has suddenly stopped responding even though I can connect to the server using SSH.
I get ping replies as well.
Any ideas on what could have suddenly gone wrong?

EDIT: Forget it, started working again now. STrange

It's important you post as much information as possible, like the server... Is it offsite, what's the name of your proxy server and version are you using, and maybe a simple restart of server could solve the problem... Look into, your logs... There might some useful information...
