proxmox virtual machine


My server had crashed last week. i backup the data on external hard disk. i just install new proxmox server and copy back the data into lvm. when i open the server using web browser and look for virtual machine, there are no vms in the list. what can i do to make the vms detected. (sorry my eng is bad)

Create a new virtual machine with desired specs and attach the backed-up disk image to it.

actually i have about 30 vms. is there any other way to make it detect

What do you mean by 'detect'? Detect what? You need to have config files for your machines. If you have them backed up too, then move them to /etc/qemu-server for KVM and to /etc/vz/conf and make sure they reflect new paths etc.

Alternatively, if you did a proper back-up using vzdump then you can simply restore them using qmrestore and vzrestore.
