Proud to be a geek!

More then 5 years Linux...
And boy/ girl do i like it.

I first started with mandrake, because that seemed to be the 'best' thing to do when you want to explore linux, coming from win-doze... and o boy/ girl how i wanted to get rid of that product called win-doze back then. Now i have seen several distributions, and got hooked on Suse (..I should have started with Suse day one i explored linux i realize now)

I was told Linux is a lot about the command line and for geeks only..
I thought linux could screw up my hardware...

All lies..(or maybe i am just lucky, and actually a geek in the closet)

I was impressed with the user friendly interfaces, and simplicity/controllability linux actually has!
KDE/Gnome... and after that, even the command line becomes fun!

Finally a operating system that 'treats' me like a responsible figure, and not a 6 year old!
I found what i expected from a computer in linux. Win-doze only gives me lot of irritation in ways i can't describe (otherwise this 'promo' story would get very lengthy...)

Now for the newbie's..

Before you post,... READ THE $%#^ MANUAL!

Sorry :) ...this is only for people that where treated like a 6 year old for so many years, they start asking questions like a 6 year old... I know win-doze can do that to you.

I always used google for my questions.. and learned a lot more by just printing out manuals of specific items i wanted to know more about. Only if i can't find an answer to a question i might have ...only then i post it in a forum (...but i might even buy a book).
