Angry Promise fasttrak 376/378 raid

Well I have a system with the Promise 367/378 raid device. When I try to do a fresh install of linux the OS can't find my hard drives. I have the drivers in a zip file. How do I pass the drivers to the install process?

You have to extract the drivers onto the disk first, I don't think it'll just read a zip file.

When your linux cd gives you the boot options type in

linux dd

dd is for driver disk. then it'll search the floppy for drivers. and then you can select it from a list before you go on with the install.

I have the promise 376 and that worked for me with redhat 9

Hi @all

I´m a about Linux and i try for weeks to install SuSE 9.1 on a MSI865Neo2 Board with a Promise378 Controller. I have 5 IDE Devices and my HDD´s are pluged at the Promis as a single Stipe so every HDD is using as single HDD.
But every time i try to install SuSE 9.1 Linux can´t find the Controller or the HDD´s. Have anyone a driver disk who can send it to me per mail?

Big thx for every Help !!!!

Drivers

Where did you get the drivers from?
I need a copy that would make my life much easier. Right now I copy data to a fat32 drive then boot back into windows and then copy it over to the raid drive. I need to eliminate this step since I move Gigs of data.
Thanks in advance.
Jim
