when i try to install programs, in which i am new to as im a complete Linux :newbie: i type in Konsole ./configure an i get

You don't have any gcc (compiler) installed! You should install some of the developer packages.
If you don't have the installation CD, I'd say you could try to donwload and install this package: http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/mandra...3mdk.i586.html Martin |

oh yeh lol i tried to install with bare minimum due to the HDD been 4Gb to test it on

I'm also guessing thats why i couldntt get FireBird to install properly either ive jus been running it from the source or summat :scratch:
