Programs on the startmenu, KDE has disappeared!

I have updated and installed some programs with rpmdrake and when I was finished almost all of my programs on the startmenu had disappeared. The only choices I had was -logout -network -hardware. Some of my icons on the desktop didnīt react at all when I tried to click on them. How do I get my programs back to the startmenu? I use KDE 3.1.

Are talking about Mandrake 9.2 menu issues?
If that is the case take a look in that thread:

If your case is different, post more details (distribuition, version, etc) and someone will help you.
