Programming on Linux, whether the future is good or not?

I wonder that: I should study at programming on Linux or Windows. I am a NIIT student.

You should study programming in a platform independent way. There is no single way to do it... even on a single operating system, APIs and languages change over time.

Learn multiple languages and frameworks - learn the underlying principles of software design, and the platform becomes less important.

Thanks. I dream about a day when I can archieve all things you said. Thank you!

Keep at it and you'll learn. Just remember everything that you CAN learn is NOT in books. Communicate with people over IRC and at school. Share the knowledge and learn from other people.

Also remember that there will always be people who are mentally bound to a certain way of doing things. Always seek to keep an open mind.

Very true. This depends on how old you are though. If you get into programming later in life (like myself) you're bound to a certain way of thinking. It's still possible to catch on, just a little more difficult. Sort of like learning musical instruments.
