Program starts on wrong desktop

This isn't a big problem, but it is irritating. I imagine it has a simple solution (hope). Often programs start on a desktop other than the one I start it from. Also, sometimes I get what seems to be a frozen pane which will minimize, but not close--often konqueror. I discovered that there is an error message on another desktop waiting for an OK. It happens unpredictably. I searched the forums, but didn't find anything remotely related--kinda hard to make a concise search query.
Anyway, thanks for your attention. And thanks to everyone on LQ--great community!

If your running kde, there is a setting for any window when you right click on the titlebar and go to Advanced>Store Window Settings. I suspect you have ticked this option at some point. When you do, the window settings are stored, including what desktop the window was on. The next time you open the program, it will go to that desktop and start no matter what desktop you're presently are on. To get rid of that behaviour, right click on the title bar and untick Advanced>Store Window Settings.

Hi there, well I found that setting, but there's no selected/deselected tick, so I will have to wait for the next instance to give it a try. Thanks!!
