program Installation problem..

Hi,
i am a new linux user, i am using slackware 11.0.
i tried to install a program and the message i got is this:

**************************************************
root@ai#3:~/Desktop/glib-1.2.10# ./configure
creating cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/ginstall -c
checking whether build environment is sane... configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files!
Check your system clock
root@ai#3:~/Desktop/glib-1.2.10#
*********************************************

i got a similar message from installing other programs, but i thought that it is a problem in the downloaded file, but i got the same message by installing another program.

Any help for this problam please.
