Question ProFTP Configuration Help

I am new to linux and new to proftp. I have successfully been able to setup apache, php, and mysql; However, proftp is proving to be somewhat of a challenge for me. The proftp website seems to lack thorough explanation and examples of its functions. I am a bit confused about how the context's work, so if anyone can help summarize simply how proftp operates, it would be beneficial to me, and I would appreciate it.

My current issue with configuration is: I would like a and/or multiple user(s) to access a single directory to edit files. I was hoping to accomplish this without adding extra system users though, but I can't even seem to get it to work with just one user. So I am completely blank as how to even approach this and what setting I have change or permissions or configurations.

Thank in advance,
Jeff

Another site with a lot of documentation (mini HOWTOs) is: http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for the links, they helped clear up a lot of confusion. My configuration is now for the least part, operational. ^_^
