Problum Shutting Down Suse 10.1..

Hi

I run Suse 10.1 . Every time I click on the shutdown button either on GNOME or KDE the sys goes to a standby mode (looks like that) The monitor switches off . But the mechine does not shut down.

So to shutdown the pc I run "/sbin/shutdown -h now" command on the console!!

How can I get this fixed?
Should I edit a certain script? If so give me the steps?
Is this a bug? If so how can i patch my o/s??

Thank You
Cheers

Some possible causes:

Your board may need ACPI to be enabled
Your board may need APM to be enabled
You may need to enable real-mode APM calls in the kernel
