Question problems with xlib and X

hii when runing emacs I get
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

emacs: Cannot connect to X server :0.0.
Check the DISPLAY environment variable or use `-d'.
Also use the `xhost' program to verify that it is set to permit
connections from your machine.

and then when running xhost + I get
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

xhost: unable to open display ":0.0"

I have tried to do "export=":0.0"
but still the same
Can any one help me with this?
I am using ARCH linux
newest kernel and KDE
