Problems with X server window system
Hello to all,
I'm having problems with one of my computers. I have two identical computers by hardware and even same software is installed. The thing is that on one computer opened windows are becoming minimized as soon as they lose mouse focus. I got advice to just copy of xorg.conf file from the computer where everything is OK to the computer where there are problems with X11 window system. Now I'd like to ask you for advice? Is it safe? Can anything goes wrong? If the cause of the problems are not in xorg.conf file, but I'm sure it has something to do with X.11 configuration, what other files I could try to copy? Thanks |
That's an easy one. It's a feature not a problem. Double click on the top border of any window and the behaviour will go away. You must have accidently double-clicked on a window top border to start the behaviour but double clicking again will end it.

jdkaye,
Those computer are at work. I cannot believe this is the reason, I'v lost so much time trying to make it work, so I can't believe it's that easy. I'll try tomorrow and let you know. I forgot to mention that operating system on both computers is Red Hat linux 7.2 What do you mean by top border? Window Title bar, or something else? Please look at the attached picture and confirm if you can. Thanks P.S. jdk, can you please show me where in the documentation is this behavior explained. I have searched X windows system help files on the internet for quite some time but didn't find anything like that. |
