Hello I am new to Linux I am using Vista at the moment but I would like to get rid of it I have a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile ( EM V 5535 ) 'I did try Ubuntu 7.10 witch did not work at all ! 8.10 witch did work but only in the restricted drivers mode ! with high resolution and my wifi card was not recognised . Now it was time for openSuse 10.30 the resolution was good but again it would not recognised my wifi card . Hello and Welcome to LQ! Your wireless chipset is covered in a number of places in the HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) with some HOWTOs. I don't know if there is a built-in kernel module for that chipset, but if not you can certainly use ndiswrapper. Search the HCL here at LQ, and if you do not find the answers you need, post back and you will get some help configuring it.
