Problems with Mozilla Thunderbird in Mint 17.3 Mate
Yep the old fool is back.
This time with email problems.
I am using Mozilla Thunderbird and it is behaving erratically.
It lets some emails through some of the time and blocks them at other times.
This has been an issue from day one and applies to both sent and received emails.
I have looked at my settings and can not see anything untoward.
My ISP has not changed so that cannot be it.
So what did this old fool do wrong this time?

I am not totally useless. I can still serve as a bad example
I am using Mozilla Thunderbird and my email server is pop3.Vodamail.co.za for incoming and smtp.vodamail.co.za for outgoing..
I have verified that the settings are correct.
Distribution: Primarily Deb/Ubuntu, and some CentOS

Thunderbird is just the client that shows you your email. Your email comes from Voda Mail email servers. Sign in with your email credentials here and see if the missing email is there.
Nope. Not a Dickey bird.
There should be at least 150 emails sitting there so I guess I'm going to Vodacom.
EISH !!! I'm not looking forward to that "If you want blah, blah, blah press one" conversation.
Thanks for your help.
Have a good one

By blocked I mean that I do not receive any messages nor does anyone receive mine.
The only one's that get through are the one's that I send to myself
I have tried to contact Vodacom's customer care but gave up trying to speak to a human after 35 minutes.
I have found a CC office about 100km away and will go there in the week.
I will keep you posted on the results
