I don't think it's connected with LILO. I think you changed something more and that's why there's no Net. Could you provide info about the access method you use, error messages etc?

well i connect trough a router to the internet ( i use cable internet )
ánd i think it does have something to do with lilo because it did it 2 times i reinstalled collige linux and internet was working , i did the lilo configuration , no internet

it doesn't give any errors just that the pages does not exist ( wile they do i tried several wich are always up )

but i remember an error message the first time it did this after i done something with lilo , it said i don't have any network cards on it ( wile they are there , i even got 2 network cards in my computer and they are working fine befor i do something with lilo and in windows it's all working properly 2 )

it's very strainge i thaught the first time it was me.... second time i noticed it's right after lilo again

i don't realy got more information about this

well i got some more information
i use the boot manager from lilo
first befor i started with it there was just 1 system ( Collige Linux )
then i did what they said in theother conversation (how to add a NT os ) well that didn't work , it said it wasn't working correctly
and i had to puss Probe ( that's a buttom in the manager )
so i pushed probe

now it has like 5 operating systems
they use 4 difrent names for the same operating system
2.4.20 ( default )
vmlinuz.scsi
vmlinuz.scsi2
Linux_Compiled
NT

2.4.20 ( default )
vmlinuz.scsi
vmlinuz.scsi2
Linux_Compiled

those are all Collige Linux
and i don't even have a scsi or anything
and the 1 which was standing there in the begining ( in the boot manager ) disapeard wile it was working correctly

now the only os which can get me online is the NT
i hope you can help me with this information

Boot to Linux (2.4.20), log in as root and run 'route'. Please copy the result. If possible, also result of 'ifconfig'.

It's a command. Log in (user: root+your root password) and type
route<Enter>
If you'd like to copy the result to a file, use
route >filename

Edit: It's a console command. If you start in graphical mode, log in, open a terminal, type 'su<Enter>', type root password when asked and then use 'route'.

but...i tryd some places... didn't work...
(sorry i aint formiliour with the most things because i just use the normal programs which are on the linux self sutch as gaim and all )

For servers I recommend Debian. It's not very easy to configure, but has apt. It makes upgrades and keeping it up-to-date really simple.
