problems with kubuntu desktop
 

i messed up my new kubuntu desktop and i want to reset it to its default.what do i do!!!

You are not giving any information that is useful. What did you mess up? Do you not have a working X server config? Or is KDE just not working? Did you remove something that you needed? Did you install something that should be there?

On the off chance that you just made a simple KDE config mistake, delete your ~/.kde folder and log off. Log back in and you have a default KDE again.

To reset the KDE Desktop to default :

Delete or backup the hidden configuration ..

mv /home/"username"/.kde/share/config \
/home/"username/.kde/share/config-back

The same .. if you also have a folder .kde4
.....

Next : Log out from KDE ... log in again ..
and a new default configuration will be written.
