problems with installs
 
I have unsuccessfully tried to install red hat 8 on my system. It doesn't recognize the dvd-rom as a option to install. My system contains two hard drives. I'm trying to install it on the 2nd hard drive. Any suggestions?

I've already formatted the drive. Also, when I try to the install red hat linux 8 doesn't give me an option to install from cd-rom.

How are you getting to the point of 'no install form cd option'?

I get to the menu that ask which media would like to install from: http, nfs, hard drive, and ftp. Note: I've installed 8 before on a clean hard drive before. Also, when I pick the hard drive it states that it detects no hard drive.
