Problems with Grub and Mdadm
 

I am using xubuntu 7.04 alternate. I have configured software raid and everyting is ok. Yanked out my first HDD which is sda and replaced it with a new one. I have rebuild the aray but I cannot get grub installed on my mbr of sda.

I have made my first partition active so that it can boot and tried to install Grub on hd0 hd0,0 sd0 sd0,0 nothing.

I keep on getting "Executing 'grub-install (hd0)' failed" or which ever drive I specify.

maybe ,you need check you disk aout the 'jump '
doest it at the right place ,slave or master !
