Exclamation Problems with downloading iTunes

Dear Users,
I have been using Linux for quite a while just to write C++ using the terminal. Recently I wanted to download iTunes. I installed wine and researched on-line how install iTunes. I did everything they said to do like using playonlinux or using different commands to mark files as executable. I have had no success and tried downloading iTunes 7 with Ubuntu 10.10. I have used tutorials on YouTube and still haven't gone very far as to run the actual program. When I try to use the icon on the desktop to start iTunes it either tells me that QuickTime was not found and Quicktime is required to run iTunes and to reinstall iTunes. When I trying using it through Wine by going to Applications>Wine>Programs>iTunes>Itunes it says the Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. And then asks to uninstall then to reinstall.

I really need help and need to know if theres anyway I will be able to run iTunes.

yeah. I didnt want to say anything because you said you want iTunes in your system, but if you have linux there are many alternatives to iTunes to manage your music. If you have the KDE desktop then Amarok media player will have full support for iPod and iPhone, if you have the Gnome desktop you can use Rhythmbox or Banshee media players these support iPod too, or you can try GTKpod in as an iPod manager but when I used it did not have play back capabilities.

You can install Amarok in a Gnome, Xfce or LXDE environment just fine too. If you dont know how to install it just let us know what distro you are running and I am sure somebody will point out the right way here in the forums.

good luck!
