problems with cups-administration: can't login

http://localhost:631 brings me to the cups administration page. There is only a slight problem. I cannot change anything because I can't login.

When I want to change anything, it asks for username and password. I fill in my username and password of my system. After several attempts, I got locked out completely.

I tried the solution of this page: http://hplipopensource.com/node/231 but that didn't work.

Question: how do I login to the Cups administration page?

There should be an error logged that explains why access was refused. If your system is running systemd, you can use journalctl to view the log.
