Problems with cdrecord

I am trying to use cdrecord on Linux 9. The directions I have are to run mkisofs on the file or folder that needs to be recorded before running cdrecord. When I try to run mkisofs is says command not found. Is there something I need to do to get mkisofs running or is it possible there was a problem with the installation of the rpm?

Thanks in advance...

"is it possible there was a problem with the installation of the rpm?"

You can check to see if mkisofs is on your system with these two commands:

which mkisofs
rpm -qi mkisofs

If you have not tried cdrecord yet you should also try:

which cdrecord
rpm -qi cdrecord
