A 32bits (i686) Fedora style OS : The safe choice is CentOS 6.3
or Scientific Linux SL 6.2 .

The SLED 10 "gcc33-c++ .i586" works OK in all Fedora/ CentOS / SL.

What is "Enhanced Network Simulator" ? ? A link please.

Redhat EL 6.3 is identical to CentOS 6.3, but Redhat EL is commercial,
i.e. a license is required.
