So I installed the most current version of Wine with Ubuntu 8.10, and everything worked well. Then I installed Diablo 2 which worked, however when I first tried to run Diablo using wine it froze the program. The freezing happens right before the main title screen of Diablo if that helps. So i installed Diablo LOD to see if that would help, but it does the same thing. So I put Diablo LOD in a window in which it works but it is very unstable. When you leave Diablo to do something esle or if something happens on the computer Diablo will freeze and wouldn't respond, then I have to restart to get Diablo to close. So if anybody can help me get Diablo in full-screen mode that would help a lot. Well Thanks for the help, hopefully XD.

Are you using the opengl mode (-opengl)?
If you are, don't. It doesn't work. Blizzard never finished it but they let the option anyway even if that does not work.
Play it is ddraw mode and that should work in wine.

Can you explain how to change this please? Thanks for the help XD.
