Smile problems starting applications from GNOME

Hello to everyone and thanks for reading my post.

I am pretty new to Linux, started with RH7 and have up graded to RH9. My problem is, after Linux GNOME has been running for a while. A while being a few hours to a day. I have trouble clicking on items on the screen or in the access panel across the bottom and starting applications.

There are times when the program starts right up then other times you see some activity on the HD lght but nothing ever loads. The programs that cause most of the poroblems are Mozilla 1.2 and Mozilla Mail. Also, the icon that opens my user directory hangs most of the time.

One other thing, sometimes Mozilla will not update a page when asked to do so but, sometimes my wife won't do things when asked to so, I am pretty used to that.

Thanks for you help.

I need a more descriptive detail of what the problem is with gnome other than "trouble clicking on items"? Are your arms paralyzed? Are you using a block of cheese as a mouse? Because I can see how those things might give you "trouble". Not to be smart or anything, but we need to know what you mean by that. Do you mean that you click the items and it does nothing? tell us.
