problems reconizing wireless adapter in fedora

How do i get fedora to reconize my wireless broadcom adapter? I have tried some tools that i found in the system settings menu that deal with this, but i must have programed them wrong or something.

Broadcom doesn't have native linux support. You're going to need either linuxant (not free) or ndiswrapper (free) so you can use the Windows drivers in linux.

By the way, if you use ndiswrapper, be sure to spend some time reading at the ndiswrapper wiki. Fedora and ndiswrapper are not the best of friends.

Thumbs up

I was able to sucessfully get FC2 to work with the linuxant wrapper using a D-Link DWL-G520 wireless card. The nice thing about linuxant is that you can get a free trial for 10 days to see if it works. You have to look on their website and make sure you have a card that their drivers will work with. It also has to match the kernel. But they update their drivers frequently. It's a bit tricky but can be done.
