problems re-installing redhat 9

i had redhat 9 2.4.20-6 working beautifully until i deleted the partition by mistake. after a few hours messing with it, i was finally able to boot xp. somehow during the process of trying to boot xp, i changed the settings. now when i start my machine i get this prompt window asking me to select which os i want to boot. is there a way to fix this? whenever i load the redhat installation cd, it wont boot. i tried booting from a floppy, it wont work either. i want to re-install redhat so i can keep messing with it. i only been using it a few days, but like what i see so far.

make sure you have your CD set as the first boot device in your BIOS

No, that's your boot loader asking what OS you want to boot into, using XP and
Linux, you get a dual-boot option. Isn't freedom of choice great... ( you will always be prompted )

here is what happened, during the recovery section , i think i changed my mbr
redhat is no longer installed, so in theory it shouldnt be asking to choose which os to pick since there is only one installed. my bios are set up to boot harddrive first, then removable drive, then cd-rom,. i also tried system restore to see it would fix the problem, but im still getting the prompt everytime i start my machine
