Problems! problem solved!!

first off my linux distro pclinuxos 2007 gnome edition failed booting, liux kernel couldnt be found. so rather than loosing all my files i decided to put the hdd into my windows machine. secondly my hdd is partioned into two sections, linux is main having around 120gig sumthing, and another 10gig for what ever reason. when i booted my windows machine it recongised my 10gig partion but not linux, so im wondering why i cant acess it is it as simple as getting http://www.chrysocome.net/explore2fs the explore2fs or could i do sum commands in cmd. sry if this is the wrong place to ask this question.

You're correct, explore2fs is probably your best option (assuming the file system is ext2/3).

The other thing you could do is use a live CD like Knoppix and then copy the files from the linux machine over the network to your windows machine.
