Problems logging in
 

I installed Redhat 7.1 and everything went smooth...but when i try to boot in to linux i type in my username and password on the login screen and when i hit enter it does nothing but kick me back out to the login screen. what can i do?

You're logging on using 'root' as your username and the password you set at boot time right? At the risk of being insulting are you sure that caps lock isn't on (this one has got me more than once!) and that you are using the same case; i.e. PaSsWoRd isn't the same as password.

If all else fails, boot into Linux in single user mode and then from there you should be able to change root's password and any others that aren't working if you can't get past the initial login with any user.
